WHAT TO EXPECT

01.

First you’ll learn about the gear (the tack), get fit for a helmets, and review basic horse riding commands and safety. The ride starts in the trailside ring to get acclimated with riding horseback.

02.

Once you’re comfortable on horseback, the ride will head out onto the trails. We’ll explore Maine fields and forest and take in all the sights that make Maine so special.

03.

The best way to finish up a ride is by grabbing a group photo to remember the adventure, check out the rest of the horses in the barn, and leave us a google review to help others!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For both comfort and safety it is recommended that you wear long pants and boots with a small heel.  Cowboy boots are ideal but certainly not required.
We can still trail ride in a light rain, but in the event that it’s heavy rain or other inclement weather we would transition the trail ride into a fun 1 hour horseback lesson in the large natural light indoor arena.  Previous trailer riders have enjoyed this option equally as much, if not more!

All cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.  This covers the non-refundable credit card charges and our time processing the refund.  Cancellations requests with less than 24 hours notice will receive account credit to be used within 1 year.

You certainly do not need previous experience to go on a trail ride.  Part of our process is ensuring you feel comfortable on horseback in the fenced riding ring before heading out on the trails.
You always have the option to stay in the ring or ride in the indoor, natural light riding arena.
